Takashi Shirogane

Shiro is level-headed, kind-hearted, and driven. A natural leader, he readily commands the loyalty and admiration of those he works with. Constitutionally incapable of shirking responsibility or turning his back on a cause he believes is worth fighting for, Shiro's moral compass points unerringly north, although he is not incapable of making hard decisions in high pressure scenarios. Untreated PTSD can trigger erratic behavior such as freezing up, becoming momentarily lost or confused, or lashing out.

Shiro is jacked. An absolute smoke show. Broad shoulders, jawline that can cut glass. Currently missing his right arm.

Became a celebrity on Earth at age 19 for being the first and youngest pilot to go into deep space. Broke every record in the Galaxy Garrison. World renowned ace pilot. Fought to lead mission to Kerberos, first of its kind, with small father-son team of scientists. At the edge of the mapped solar system, made first contact with alien race, was taken captive.

Became known as The Champion in the Galra's gladiatorial fighting pits. Was experiment upon by Galra captors with the aim of creating a more powerful weapon for them to use. Right art was amputated and replaced with bionic prosthetic which could produce powerful discharges and form an energy blade. Rebel dissidents working within the Galra's ranks freed him and put him on a transport back to Earth.

Became the Black Paladin of Voltron aka the Guardian of the Sky. Led team to victory against tyrannical Emperor Zarkon but died in battle. The Black Lion protected its paladin by absorbing and preserving his essence. A clone of Shiro possessing all of his memories returned to team Voltron, unwittingly allowing the druid Haggar to monitor their activity through his eyes. After traumatic events wherein Shiro unknowingly and unwillingly orchestrated the deaths of his teammates, his true mind was placed into his clone's body.
